Default Granbys "Lazy Sunday" Drive To The Coast, Sunday August 2nd

OK it's that time of year again, we've done this for the last couple of years on Kent Scoobies and i think everyone enjoyed themselves so i thought we would do it again

Meet at Nottcuts 10:30am leaving @ 11:00am for a gentle drive to Greatstone, from there we will go to the beach and have a lazy day

If anyone has a football, cricket set, rounders bat and ball or similar they can bring them along for a bit of fun on the beach for all the kids (big & small)

As for food there is a chippy opposite or people can bring there own so if people fancy this please put your names down

1. Granby
2. Dunks
3. col_2
4. EN4
5. Blue v ltd
6. jay09
7. Mikkers
8. Scoobytibs
9. Sheepie
10.

Greatstone is next to Littlestone nice roads around there.

Just along the coast from Dungerness, near New Romney.

I have been in contact with Granby and suggested to him that we have a:

SOUTH EAST COAST Lazy Drive and meet up with him at Greatstone.

Obviously those that live closer to Nottcuts meet there,

Anyone that wants to could meet up on the South Coast, somewhere on the A27 or A259

Lets do something a little different and join up with Granby.

I could always call you, in the morning You have a PM

I am meeting the others by a pub called "The Kings Head" which is on the A259 towards the outskirts of the town on
Rye Road near Hillcrest School, which is just before the 40mph speed limit sign on the way out of town.(heading towards Rye)

It will good to see you both dont forget the camera as Dungerness power station is just down the road from Greatstone,

makes a good back ground for pictures.

what lovely weather today - somehow i've got sunburnt! good day out, being lazy on the beach (sand is a novelty to me, being from Brighton ) and of course, fish & chips on the beach too. Took a wander round Rye on the way home as i've not been there in about 20 years.....

only mishap was me not noticing a low wooden post in the pub car park in Hastings, and promptly finding it with my front bumper

anyway, a few photos.
