Default My new BEAST

Well, the Scooby went last friday and i have been looking for something to drive while i save for the Blobeye, I found a great car, its a 2002 Golf GT TDI PD 130 Highline, 130 bhp with 228 lbs of torque!! (I will get it chipped to 180 bhp and 300 lbs torque for £275!!!)
Its got heated seats, cruise control, 6 speed etc and it is superb, i have done 192 miles so far and it has only used just over 1/4 of a tank, the computer is reading 61.4 mpg on the motorway!!!
It is fun and quite quick, £125 per year car tax and under £300 for insurance. Its got FULL VW service history and recent cambelt, and only 41,900 miles from new, 1 owner, and it is mint!!

Paul

Very nice matey. My mrs had one of these a couple of years back and they are a really nice car. As you say, fairly punchy with good MPG. Should hold its money as a 'stop gap' for you too. Hope you dont get tempted away from scoobydom tho!!

Very nice indeed - must admit I am quite tempted by the new Scirocco at the moment!

Very punchy and nippy/quick cars even in standard form. Remapped and it becomes a quick car, and bullet proof and should still return and average of 50mpg... If we didn't need 7 seats, I would change our family Zafira GSI for one of these.
