Default Hi guys, new to subaru in general

hi guys,

I got my first Subaru in October last year after 3 years of a Vauxhall corsa black edition that came to a sticky end when a HGV decided to play bumper cars with me and won, it was written off.

I got a Subaru impreza WRX hatchback 2010 and have loved it, got it from a dealer and he was sure it was standard although it has a Prodrive exhaust, Prodrive wheels and prodrive stickers on rear and sides so im unsure wether it has the PPP, hoping I can find out on here from people who know how to find out as I am without a certificate.

I am looking to modify it this year with some engine upgrades and maybe some styling aswell, ill get some pics on this thread soon

glad to be part of the scooby following

will get them up tomorrow and hopefully can help me with my prodrive question, I rang Subaru and they didn't know and they said the parts may have been installed by a previous owner but it all looks as if they came with the car as standard lol

Welcome to SES, I hope you find some advice with regards to the PPP question. I’d have thought it might be a struggle as you have already contacted Subaru who don’t appear to know.

Be good to see some pics, maybe consider starting a project thread if you are looking to modify and develop the car in your ownership.

Hi and welcome.
Usually the ppp kits came with a certificate and the dealer can tell if ones fitted as only dealer supplied.
I’m not sure what the hatch ppp kit involved . But it would be more than just a back box so if you can find that out and check yours .

yeah it has been a struggle trying to get answers lol

on the phone to Subaru the woman wasn't interested in why I rang them, she was the one who said it mustve been installed by previous owner so have been online and found the PPP's upgrades were exhaust, wheels, 255lh fuel pump and ECU? I may be wrong, and put power out to 260bhp from standard?

anyway ive been told to check my ECU to see if its got prodrive written on it but cant find it anywhere and been told to get it on a dyno to see what its actually producing,

scooby doo it wasn't a Subaru dealer unfortunately, so they've got hold of it with part service history and no certificate and I bought the car not knowing about the cert

sorry to go on about it lol thanks for replying

02-07 wrx or Sti the PPP kit came with -

Decat 2nd pipe
Rear back box
Ecu software (no sticker on the case just simple black marker pen with a serial number)
Prodrive silicone Y pipe.
Fuel pump 255 was Sti only
This kit could be fitted by the dealer from new or even later down the line but was only sold by the customers dealer of choice. A certificate was filed in and supplied and some cars had a ppp sticker on the drivers door shut.
Wrx 227hp to 265ps
Sti 265 to 305ps
I have very little knowledge on the hatch so I can’t comment to help unfortunately to say for certain but it is possible to source all these parts and retro fit them ecu wise you need transponder and key.

A dyno will tell you if it’s mapped , a boost gauge if you know the target from stock this could help .
