Default Pads & discs recommendations?

Hi I've got a 51 plate bugeye wrx. And I've come to te conclusion the standard brakes are just poop! I've had a look and there's so much to take in. Can anyone recommend any good pads & discs that won't fall apart. And also any contact numbers. I'm not a great fan of buyin online I like to go to a shop or meet the person selling them. (still don't quite trust the net yet). Any help would be gratfully appreciated.

I'd agree with Ian. I have never had any problems. Good advice and fast delivery.

Alyn is a top bloke for sure.

I've also got standard wrx brakes, and yes, they're pretty poo. But decent pads, discs and fluid (plus braided hoses if you want) certainly help. It'll never be as good as a brembo setup on the STI's but it all depends on what you want to spend.

If you want to ever use the car on track, then you need better calipers in the first place - i've found out the hard way!

Found out the hard way. Dare I ask haha. I would love brembos. But I don't plan on having her for more then a year. The wife is getting her and I'll finally get an sti. To which I can spend silly money on. I just need better stoping power. Because around about Christmas I'll be getting my power pack sorted. But I'm trying to be sensible by doing the brakes first.

An hour or so of Brands Hatch with EBC Bluestuff (track/fast road pads) and I ended up with melting bits

That was a brand new pad destroyed in one evening, heat build up in the old Subaru 4 pots is very bad so they generally cook the pads and warp the discs when really abused.
