P1 downpipe
Hi all... been a bit busy since getting the car. 1 year and about 100 miles later I need to get some of the fixes done!
The downpipe is rusted badly and given I can't find an original P1 exhaust to replace the Blitz have bought a new Hayward & Scott. Finding a replacement downpipe with cat seems pretty tricky, any ideas or suggestions? Am wondering if there is a stock of them somewhere or if people have them in garages if upgraded for bigger builds... Cheers, Rob. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk |

Was there anything special about the P1 downpipe or was it the same as any other classic with a cat? I still have mine but intending to hang on to it, can't believe there aren't people out there with them kicking around. Alternatively you could go with an aftermarket sports cat.

I would rather a cat just to try and at least have an original set up in there.
Noddy question here... What is the impact of a de cat downpipe? Much noise and or emissions issues? Same with a sport cat really. Any brands you would recommend? Appreciate the help! Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk |

no cat will mean no pass MOT wise..............
also you will find the std cat works quite well as a 'resonator' to suppress noise apart from the v.early GC8's all of the cat d/pipes are basically the same with the Lambda boss in the neck after the turbo

Hayward and Scott do a high flow cat option in 2.5 or 3'', but I assume you want to keep it original?

Yes would like to keep it original or at least as original as I can. So does anyone know of any new old stock anywhere? Or is it second hand or aftermarket only?
