Default changing bulbs?????

Ok slightly embarrassing ,I am trying to change the lightbulbs and side lights on my wagon.
On most cars you twist bulb and replace it, but everything i have read on the subject says I have to remove the whole headlight and for the side light I have to loose the bumper!!!!!!!!
Can anyone shed some light on the subject(no pun intended)

not sure on the newages but on the classic you undo the screw on the top of the sidelight then you have to pop the sidelight unit forward and wiggle it out, then twist the bulb holder out then pull the bulb out
