Couple of Blobeye owner questions
How the chuff are you meant to change the side-light bulbs?
Under the front of the car, does the undertray meet the front bumper or are there meant to be some inspection panels between bumper and tray? |

I guess you're talking the one in the headlight cluster not the side indicators. I changed mine when I removed the headlights to de-tango them.
Back of the headlight locate the back of the bulb you want to change, remove the plastic plug with the wires attached. If I remember there was also a metal clip you have to unclip with a screw driver. You then push and twist the plug in the back of the headlight to get that and the bulb out. Both sides are a pain as you have so little room..I removed the battery on the passenger side. Hope that helps mate...hope I got the right bulb lol |

I de tangoed mine the other day and from what I saw, to remove the sidelight you have to remove the whole light as I could only change the man beam and indicators with light fitted, the side light was blocked by the chassis of the vehicle, stupid really

Pop the headlight out mate, much easier. Done is so many times now I'm an expert at it. Don't buy halfords one's, they don't last. Hence why I've done it so many times!

I seem to remember having to remove the headlights or at least unbolt them to reach the sidelight bulbs.
mine has no cover between bumper and undertray. |

So headlights have three bolts - one behind bumper cover meaning grille/bumper has to also come off?

2 bolts on top, 1 bolt behind grille, grille just pops out. may require some gentle pulling as there are a couple of tabs holding the lights in.

As others have said, to change the side light bulb you have to remove the headlight :S its not that difficult though.

Ps when I popped the lights out I did break the White plastic thing keeping the bottom of the light in place. Graham over at Surrey did the same so I'd suggest being careful when you're trying to pop the headlight out

I use a screwdriver to prize it out before attempting removal. Should stop it from breaking. Has done so far on mine anyway.

I did mine the other day, it was a right pain. Taking the lights out on that thing are a nightmare!!
Maybe I'm just new to it but I can see the previous owner was a bit special and couldnt be arsed with doing it properly as he'd just placed the passenger side bulb sort of the way back in and has melted the plastic.... Lazyness can cause fires! |

on that thought, a couple more questions:
First question: Anybody with a blob made the move to LED front side-lights? If so is there a likelihood that these ones will be too long to fit? http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/501-w5w...bulbs-white-1/ -------------- Second question Anyone own or else have seen a 2003-2005 blob that has headlamp washer jets? I ask because my car WAS a JDM 'bug' that had OEM HID lamps, bub no headlamp washer jets. I recently had the blobeye facelift done and opted to buy OEM JDM blob headlamps. Again the 2005 car they came from had no wash jets. |

I've watched all the Star Wars films loads of times but I've never noticed the shape of Darth Vaders Helmet, is that in the editors cut version where there is a bedroom scene with Boba Fett?

I'll dig out the details tonight and post them up. Dave did the conversion just before I bought the car but to date no problems.
