Coolant
Evening all, had an issue where the coolant expansion tank has filled up and was bubbling with air, I'm just letting it cool down before opening anything up. Coolant was at correct levels to start with.
Any ideas Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

Replaced radiator cap and top tank cap. Drained and replaced coolant. All seems fine now. How often do caps fail or can hoses gradually let air in.

i have heard some to let go, go mostly this i signs of early stage of head gasket failure, go for thrash then pull over and check see if doing the same thing? i think steve ppp had these symptoms.

I had it a few years ago when on track a couple of times, where the expansion tank filled and overflowed, bubbling in bottle as well.
I've always assumed its an early sign of HGF but I've changed the radiator, hoses and coolant since then and it was fine on the last trackday i did - although it was in February so the ambient temp was much lower. |

I have been out for a thrash several times and seems to be fine.

Fingers crossed, as I was quoted 1700 for head gasket.
