Default new scoobie owner :)

hi all. names kieron but everyone calls me wonkey.

after many years drooling over a scoob. im finally in a place where i can get insured. naturally the first thing i did was buy one.
i bought a 51plate wrx 2.0turbo bugeye.
its completly standard. so ive got a blank canvas to do what i may.
if any one has any info about this type of scoob or mod recomendations itll be much appreciated. many thanks wonkey.

There might be a meeting point at Maidstone services or clacket lane services ?

Hi Wonky!

Lot's of options for the bugeye - Mines gone from std, to 270 to 340 to 370 to 390 to 405 and about to go up to 450.

C.J's had more different and higher power levels out of a bug than most - Dukeboy's is also pretty tasty so lots of info available on here!

Stage 1 would be Exhaust, Panel filter (do not go induction kit) and remap - 270/280 is possible, I'd also do fuel pump at this level as well. Source the Exhaust second hand and get a new panel filter (they're cheap enough) should be able to do the lot for around £500-£800!

Welcome aborad BlueBugEye is right.
Your bug has 3 cats ,1 in the up pipe before the turbo and 2 in the exhaust so I when for a new up pipe and a sports cat exhaust (saves messing about at mot time ) 3 port, fuel pump, air filter and remap and you will love it

Again thanks for the warm welcome wasn't expecting it lol. I'm definatly going to look in to the remap and exhaust but I'll wait to speak to you lot at a meeting. Just so I don't cock it up and get it wrong. Also another question how rare is it to get full leather trim in a bug eye? Dealer said it was and that's pretty much what sold it to me.
