Good- actually, no, great finds. Gotta love the 6R4 and, if I had the money, it would definately have a place in my dream car collection...
...but if I could just have one of those two, it would be Mk.2 all the way for me. Especially with a Millington built engine (and some Irish Tarmac heritage behind the car! ).

Thought 6r4's were 3 litre?

They were from factory, I believe a number of them were re-engined to 2.5 in order to allow them to compete at a Clubman level after Group B was cancelled... don't quote me on that though!

It's not really Aryton's 6R4 when you read it. Basically he sat in it, as did I expect many other people famous or not. And over time the car has been completley changed.

Bet there aren't many classic rally cars out there that have the same components now as they did when they were in the hands of their previous drivers!

Theres a 6R4 near me running a Cossie engine at well over 500bhp... Been in it and its stupid fast and handles like a gokart.. So much so it skips from one side of the road to the other

...from what I've read about the 6R4 the biggest flaw with the car out of the box was the engine. Don't get me wrong, it was obviously quick, but it lacked puff when compared to the other Group B cars. It was only after further (post '86) development that the car really hit its prime.
