Default EVO

I now have the cheque in my hand. Still have no idea of what to buy. I'm trying to be sensible.

Litchfield have a very nice 460bhp Type 25, a lot of money but cash is king when it comes to discounts!

http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/stocklist.asp?id=314

Have you any ideas what you want? 4 wheel drive? turbo'd?

Surprised that one hasn't gone, its been there a while now, tho I suppose 25k for a 55 plate car is still expensive however nice the car may be.

There is a Nice EvoX FQ360 running 420 in Hastings for 20K....

Or go German and 996 turbo or my preference 997c4's...... RS4 would be nice as well...

Or just keep the scoob slam it, get some Ap's and enjoy on and off track.!

Decisions, decisions....... Nice ones to have though.

No that money really isnt mine. The Scoob is still for sale. half harted sale really. After putting a full service on it ive not used it. Im a biy acsident prone atr the moment. On holiday i came off a motorbike {well we did} so took that back. Then i hired a car & crashed that. Speed boat was good though...............untill Ali hert her butt! I had the biggest wasp thing chase me so i hit the throtle to get away from it. The boat did a wheelie & shot off, Ali's arse didnt quite follow & narrowly missed the anchor buy hitting the edge of the seat. neadles to say i didnt drive it back to port. All good fun apart from road burns on my arse.

I'd go with that mate. Buy another one as you know them well, sort the brakes and suspension and enjoy ragging it round a circuit without the fear of it breaking

Would you want another Evo? would be very easy to slip in to trying to making it the car it is replacing..... could be another costly slope.

Perhaps a change of direction, atom, xbow, caterham etc etc.....

or a subaru BRZ

Been standing around for 5 years. You would need to pull the engine apart & refresh. Brakes & lines + tyres would need looking at to. Depends on how its been stored & if you trust the seller.

Evo at 400bhp with brakes & suspention sorted is an option. Atom, xbow, caterham etc Ha! Ha! my face would just fold like Clarksons !
BRZ is to slow looks the part though.

If your not looking for something that is a complete package and something that is more focussed just for twisties, fun and track. I doub't you would do much better than another Evo.

As you know around 400bhp and fairly reliable is easily and relatively cheaply acheived with an evo. But with your competative nature I seriously doubt you will be able to leave one alone and it would soon become another money pit/highly strung rice tin....

Or keep the chunker and get a dedicated 2 seater toy of some sort.... westfield, tvr, elise,VX220 turbo, or a stripped golf GTI, clio172, etc, etc. i.e go for fun/power to weight vs BHP
