And some of mine..... some are the same as above, but then we all visited the same stages! Sun was also very low and bright making it interesting to get good pics, some of them just didn't come out well.

Great pictures Steve(s!) and many thanks to Steve PPP for pointers on the day: good to see some different spots!

Really liking the pictures you guys got on Ash after the jump, plus that Escort shot on the inside of the corner at Pavilion is pretty bloody good as well Steve PPP (knew I should have deleted it when I had the chance ). Loving those rear shots of the red N14 Impreza and the S11 WRC too!

BOO955G Mk1 escort is a local guy to us his name is Vince. Excellent pics by the way some of them are really the best I've ever seen. Looked like a good day even with the fuglys there.

No worries mate. Like i said, its good to share the knowledge and go for a bit of a walk further from the car parks to find the best stuff

That photo of the yellow escort on Pavilion wasn't the only one i got, i clicked a whole sequence of 6 or 7 photos. Only when i looked on the PC afterwards a realised quite how close he was to me (no more than 2 feet from my nose i think!) but it didn't look so close through the lens! I'll post a couple more later.

Hi guys,

Brilliant pictures.

Did you take any of a little Peugeot 205 XS in Red? Car number 152?

It was my first rally, just made it to the end!

I'm also a P1 owner

Regards,
Michael

Welcome to SES

Unfortunately not, only caught the 2wd field on Pavilion once, and then in the dark on Warren.

Started to walk back to the car as the last few cars came through on Pavilion so missed you, sorry.

Hi Mike,

Didn't get any of you over the Ash jump from a distance, but did get several photos of you through the day. Happy to email them over in a zip file if you want - just let me know your email address.

Steve

Is that Vince Bristow: as in rallycrosser Vince Bristow?

Got a couple of you on the jump, but only from up close. Should be posting them up in the next few days.

Like Nige would like to hear more about your car, so please stick around on the forum!

HI Guys

Thanks for replying.
If you could send over some pictures to the following email address that would be great. mike@twsigns.co.uk.

In terms of the subaru i was driving it's pretty much one of the standard types out there. 5 years ago she was a competitive car however with the cost of the 4wd's these days, you have bob hope and no hope of keeping up with the WRC and Group A cars.

The car runs On GEMS management with Anti Lag etc.
Suspension is rather simple. Jumbo Bilsteins all around.
STI Engine uprated forged pistons etc
Competition exhaust and manifolds.
Usually we run a Dog Box however rebuild of this was not ready so we attempted the Tempest running a standard gearbox from an old STI Estate that had come to the end of it's life!

All your usual safety stuff and that's about it really!

On the shorter Ash stage we set Top Ten time however we lost brakes on longmore so lost alot of time, then that was followed by the expected gearbox failure on stage 6

Still all good fun, and it's always nice to see yourself beating 180 grand cars in your 15k car

My Dad owns a subaru rally school and we also had one of the Rally school cars doing the 2wd event, a RWD subaru car 138 i believe, so if anyone has any pictures of this either that would be great.

Thanks Again

Mike

Embarassingly late with these given how quickly Karting Steve and Steve PPP got their pictures up, but a few more shots from this years Tempest Rally.

Given that we were all spectating from the same stages I have tried to avoid posting duplicate shots: apologies if any of the pictures look familiar though!

(Easily my fave picture from the day!)

(Night shot sort of came out)

Rally repaired!

Fuuuuuccc…

Some cracking shots there Steve, the focus on them is spot on (something which i wasn't that happy about on mine, a lot of them weren't sharp )

Great job mate My favourite has to be the red mk2 on the brakes with gravel flying everywhere

I had exactly the same problem: loads of mine ended up in the recycling bin and, typically, all the shots of the car I wanted a decent picture of (John Lloyd's S11 Impreza), came out blurry.

I really like a couple of the rear shots from Warren, but the S10 WRC picture is my fave: just caught the light right!
