Default MY97/98 ECU Pin-out & Apexi Fitting

The following images provide the Pin-Out for the 3-Connector MY97/98 ECU for the Subaru Impreza WRX/STI/UK

Also provided is information regarding wire swapping and moving of wires for fitment of the Apexi PFC into a MY97/98 Impreza Turbo UK model (Not required if fitting the Apexi into a Jap WRX or STi).

To perform this modification you will need to :

Swap B136 Pin 8 with B136 Pin 10 (Swaps the Cam & Crank Signals)
Move B137 Pin 17 to B137 Pin 7 (Relocates the Fuel Pump Signal)

The numbers indicated with a * on the Pin-Out do not refer to 'Pin Numbers' but to the 'Notes' at the bottom of the diagram

My B137 plug slot 7 and 17 empty for fuel pump relay. I am swapping 8s ECU with JDM 75 STi ECU due to 8s giving wrong key error immobilising car and could not get another 8s matching ignition kit. With the 75 ECU I have installed yellow injectors and orange AFM. I have no idea which terminal is fuel pump relay slot 7 and 17 empty. Any advice how I can get this car to go again?

Are you counting the numbers from the correct way. The image orientation is either ECU or Cable/Connector which will be a mirror image. Without an ECU in front of me I cannot tell which way they have represented it.

IMHO it would not be wise to run a STi ECU in a UK car unless you plan to get it remapped due to the much more aggressive timing and different turbo setup. The only option to remap a MY97/98 ECU it to use ESL Daughterboard via ESL or Duncan at Race Dynamix.
