Default My Bugeye

Hi guys, Names Luke.

After spending a long time without anything fast in my life I went and got myself a Motorbike, which is great fun but lately i've been wanting a fast car again (used to have skylines, evos, 300zx etc etc).

Anyway, this 2002 bugeye came up at a good price with great history so snapped it up. I had a classic uk turbo wagon before which was a nightmare which left a bad taste in my mouth so was abit cautious with getting another scooby.

I'ts a WRX that previous owners have added STI parts too,
It's got:
A Full 3inch exhaust system with all cats removed,
3 Port boost solinoid
Walbro 255 fuel pump
HKS SSQV Dump valve
XTP Tuning stage 2 map
K&N panel filter

thats as it was decribed to me by prev owner(i know people dont like the "stage" term) and was told it should be at about 260-270bhp, sound about right to you guys?

I'm hoping to tune it to around 350bhp over the months ahead, so any suggestions for a rolling road mapper in the south east would be great.

was told to come join by Shane so here i am

Only have 2 pics of the car atm.

Doubt it was Big 'E' as he would of been at work and his Scoob is a garage Queen now!

Hi and welcome to SES

Car looks nice, and sensible mods.

As above - Duncan @ Racedynamix is used by peeps on here, as well as Rich @ FB Tuning (see my signature for details).

Charlie down at Surrey Rolling Road is most peoples choice for a Dyno - handy as Duncan Maps there as well.

260-270bhp sounds about right for the mods you are running.

To get any more you will need a turbo from an STi (VF35 or the like), probably STi 565cc pink injectors, and maybe an STi top mount. That along with a new map from Duncan or Rich, should see you 330bhp ish

Ryan

cheers guys, my radiator had a small leak, so decided when i fitted a new 1, to get some silicon hoses at the same time, why not eh, still got a few more to do but ran out of time today.

they came with no labels so going round seeing which is which takes a bit of time when u don't know these engines very well lol also snuck in a strut brace. and got some vibe black air speakers/tweeters all round, and lastly a new walbro 255 as not sure the current one is all that, on about 1/4 tank if i floor it it tries to cut out, but on half or above it's 100% fine, so not sure if they fitted a cheapy or 2nd hand 1, rather be safe then sorry

that might help me find the homes for the last 4 or 5 i have in the bag lol, that smaller pipe that runs along infront of the intercooler and goes down behind the header tank, how is that held on the bottom? is it clamped or jus pushed on? i noticed some of mine where just pushed on.

also that intake pipe, do you need adapters for them as i noticed the one on mine is bolted on? kinda hard to explain what i mean tbh

im still abit confused about the intake pipe, i'm looking at getting this 1 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-Silicon...-/222206147117

as being from same brand the colour match should be good but on yours it looks like there is a join half way along? is that just because of your brand or is there 2 parts to the pipe i need?

It's just one pipe - mine were all SWD pipes.. I would advise going samco if u can afford it as cheaper pipes tend to collapse which isn't good... but def only one pipe..

Welcome to the club

Will keep an eye out for you In Hastings and give you a wave

As for the remap use Duncan and go to Surrey rolling Road. He will be a bit hard to get hold of at the moment as he has had a bereavement in the family
Get rid of that XTP chip ASAP its just a generic chip and not actually mapped to the car
