Default Track day preparations

Hi, this year I was planning on doing some more track days but last year my brakes weren't really up to the job so after posting on here I was informed about bigger brake kits I'm currently negotiating a deal with some selling a set of D2 8 pot 356mm kit which I know will require 18" alloys but are there any other preparations I would need to do to get the car ready?

Will the standard wrx rear brakes be ok with the bigger front brakes?

Thank you

Yes, I upgraded to a set of uprated grooved discs and NDX pads on the rear. Balance could be better, but its not too bad

Hi there

330mm will work on yours and you can use 17" too alloys too.If you will be running 356mm at front and at rear just 290mm there can be problem with brake balance

As above Ian recommends, speak to Alyn@AS Performance

I'm running 330mm AP's with std grooved rears with DS2500 pads, I plan to fit Brembos to upgrade the rear slightly in the future but the balance is ok.

Thanks all for the advice I may look into a set of 330mm brake set up for the front if this deal with brakes fall through.

Thanks again!
