Default Forester Help

Hi All

It may be time to let my still totally standard WRX Wagon go. I am thinking about a 2.5 l Forester XT....you may all think im nuts but i need it for hauling my mountain bike, kids and canoe etc.

My issues is im looking at two 2005/6 models and the engines bays look totally different. I thought it was uprated in 2005 so im confused and dont want to accidentaly go and buy the older engine.

Any helps and knowledge appreciated
