Default Bugeye Prodrive Lense Replacement

I know not many have these, but after almost 2 years of searching. Non replies from Subaru, Prodrive and Hella. I've discovered a simple replacement that is actually the same unit.

On most, I'd say about 90%, the outside lenses crack on both sides. Hella no longer list the part number, saying it has long been deleted. Subaru, if they can find it on the system want £170 odd for each lamp. Ouch.

After some searching, and snapping up units that looked the same from ebay, I discovered the unit is still made, exactly the same, with a different Part Number, but the unit itself is made up of two bits, with the same OLD part numbers, and you can get them for £35.00 + vat from a company in Guildford.

The old broken unit vs the new one.

The part number for the broken lense half 152 927 00

The new one, same lense half part number

The lamp half old one 152 926 00

The shiny new one, again same part number

The actual part number for the new unit, there is no left or right version, as you just twist the body depending on what side you're fitting it.

Now heres the sneaky bit, this is why Subaru charge so much for them, to make sure they fit alongside the headlamp adjuster motor, they snap one of the mounting lugs off!!

All you have to do with the new unit, is the same.

One installed, brand new unit.

So the part number you need to replace your broken dipped units is

1LL 008 193-11
