Default Go Pro HD Hero Wi-Fi Remote

I was thinking of getting a second Go Pro, in time for the Germany trip this year, in March they are releasing a new gizmo to go with the Go Pro.

There's another £100.00 down the drain

Looks cool, I still prefer the idea of gps tracking and mapping as well though:

Contour Plus

Fancy mounting one in my bonnet scoop with the remote/viewfinder on my phone.

The great thing about this is the fact you can live stream and record to Smart Phone, lap top etc.

And works with both editions of the Go Pro, but only live streams from Go Pro 2

Are you going for a bit of 3D action if you get a second one?

Was looking at the Go pro's the other day and the first version is quite cheap now the new number 2 model is out.

No mate, not particularly. I would like to have 2 because I want the new one inside the car and the old one outside either forward or rear facing for some stuff in Germany.

Not really mate. There should be some GoPro "1" Bargains about on E-bay and the like.

GoPro 2 will be pretty much the same across the board. I always get my gear from Action Cameras.

Yes mate, that's not a bad price at all

I thought they would be between about £170 - £200, so this seems about right.

Well worth that kind of money for sure.

I got one of these mate! There are other makes available but for reliability, write speed, stability etc, they can't really be beaten.

You might be as lucky as me too, mine was only ordered 2 weeks ago and they sent me one with a 45mb/s write speed at no extra cost.

lol i asked them about that, if they are out of stock instead of removing the ebay listing they just add a 0 to the price to stop people buying them, then when in stock it goes back to £181

Didn't get if from them anyway but from a place in Redhill, the Hero 2 for £237.49 with free next day delivery

A quick question as some of you have used both the 1 and 2. Is the 2 version much better? I'm looking at getting one but not sure if the 2 is worth the £50 premium over the 1?

I have not used the 2. But the difference from what I have read and viewed is well worth the difference IMHO.

I put the 1st version in the bin last year. The hero 2 is meant to be very good. :EVO:

Yours wasn't the HD hero though Nige. It was the original version.

This is about the HD hero 1&2.

Nice one Steve, took mine out yesterday and filmed on most of the settings to see if there is much difference between them, only thing is i think i need a new PC as the higher settings wouldn't play smoothly , to get smooth playback on my PC i can only use 720p 25fps and no higher but that is still pretty good quality

Good stuff Ian Did you do just inside the car? Or some exterior stuff too?

It's a pain about the PC not playing properly. I often start and pause immediately, go and get a drink and come back. By then the download is ofet on far enough to play it smoothly.

720 is still pretty good as you say. They are great little gizmos, we'll get some good footage between us then hopefully.

Just inside as it was only in the Polo, am tempted to put it on the back of the barge and get some great sounding footage, or even on the side of the car to get some different footage

I copied the video files to my PC but they still wouldn't play properly, never mind as my PC is a few years old now so probably its time for a upgrade to something mega powerful that can handle video editing as well
