Default SES - UK Driving Tour July 2017

Currently planning a road trip that will include 2 overnight stays.

Initial plan is :

Saturday 1st July : Early leave and head up to Brecon/Talgarth area and enjoy the Brecon and Black Mountains.
The map of the Brecon area below is based on roads that I know. Some of which I have purposely diverted over too and have driven more then once :
Day 1 Driving : (Once In Wales) Driving South Wales
Accommodation : http://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/wales/glamorgan/merthyr-tydfil/merthyr-tydfil.html

Sunday 2nd July : Early start and head up through Mid Wales, maybe divert over to the Mach Loop for some Low Level Plane spotting, and then head up to the B4391 / EVO Triangle.
Day 2 Driving : Route to EVO Triangle & Onwards to Hotel in Wrexham
Will also include the B4391 from Bala to Ffestiniog
Accommodation : http://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hote...orth-a483.html

Monday 3rd July : Head over to the Snake Pass & The Peak District for a final drive, prior to heading home
Day 3 Driving : Snake Pass & Peak District
Visit Ladybower Resevoir : http://www.derbyshire-peakdistrict.co.uk/ladybower.htm
Potential Visit to the Donington F1 Museum : http://www.donington-collections.co.uk/

The above is the initial plan, but the route may be subject to change as we gather more information.
Accommodation is Premier Inn, which will provide tidy rooms and an 'all you can eat breakfast' and an 'evening bar/restaurant'

EVO triangle is good but B4391 is better.
That's where most of EVO's photography is shot.

Really like the sound of this.
Will you book the accommodation too or shall we do that once numbers are confirmed?

That week was chosen to coincide with the Anglesy trackday. We can drop that element though if people are not too worried. It would allow a bit more time for other things.

I wouldn't want to ruin things for everyone else.

If the date remains, then unfortunately I will have to miss this - but if it changes, then count me in...

bl**dy sister ! ha ha

I have adjust the itinerary above to include the driving routes, proposed accommodation and also reduced it down to 2 nights and 3 days driving.
The original plan was to visit Anglesey Circuit (which would take quite a large chunk of a day), but this was only as it coincided with a Track Day.

If the dates change we can reduce the day's and perhaps make it more attractive (less leave for people to take).
For the moment I will leave the dates as they are, but we can be flexible to suite the majority.

Hi Guy's,
Sorry but the combination of low interest and my own personal circumstances means I won't be going on, or arranging this trip any further.
Feel free to carry on with it if you feel it's worthwhile.

I won't be having any weekends away this year and will be purely limited to 'days out'.
If I do get away on a trip, such as this, it will be with family in tow and organised last minute/ad-hoc and likely to be Non-Scooby.

Soz.......

Well I've managed to plan a large section of this for the 2017 Taylor family holiday.
Day 1 in South Wales in the Merthyr premier inn. Then drive across Wales to the North staying at Llangollen once again.
We are staying in the loverly cottage we stayed at 2 years ago due to direct contact with the owner resulting in an unrefusable price.

So the A4059 in South Wales and the B4391 in North Wales will see a little bit of the K1. If you have this month's EVO magazine both these roads are used for the AMG GTR and Porsche GT3 features.

I might just have to book the K1 into R-tech for a remap. Unless of course an S5 comes along between now and then
