Some more events for the calender.

28th March, British Rally X @ Lydden Hill
27th May, World Rally X @ Lydden Hill
29th August, British Rally X @ Lydden Hill

Some of the best racing you'll see. Reasonably priced also.

Looks like a busy year, with some good events/meets

How about making the March meet a breakfast meet somewhere, followed by a run out to Saywell@Goodwood?

The cafe we use? No, unfortunately not. Its only a small place with 5 or 6 tables and on-street parking. There's the cafe at Bury Hill that some of the guys met at a few months ago that might do the trick though? its only just up the road from Arundel on the A29 and 2 mins from Fontwell.

Is that the Whiteways Cafe? guessing parking won't be a problem as its a regular meet up for bikers........

Otherwise in Chi itself I only know of Goodwood hotel/pub/ The Kennels or Harvester near where we meet for Goodwood events sometimes

The Vintage Inn at Fontwell does breakfasts, Or further this way you have a few places in Bognor itself or even Harbour Lights in LA

Default Japfest attendance April

Will the club be attending this? If so doesn't it need to be done soon to get the code for individuals to book ASAP.

If not do we know of any other clubs that can offer the code.

Sorry if this seems confusing, but the website implies book soon and you need the code to get your car book to be on a stand and not general public and car left outside.

In the title "Japfest April" need the code to book for a cheaper price plus it gets the car inside and not public parking.

As Handbrake says, its outdoors so needs to be a nice day, no issue with parking of course,

The coffee is decent, I've not eaten more than a hot dog from there though so could not comment on breakfast.

Ah, i thought it was a proper indoor cafe job rather than a food counter with outside seating. There's one just south of Cowfold but its a bit further over this way from Goodwood.

Harvester option down that way would work, last Harvester brekkie meet at Polegate worked well

Not sure what time breakfast would need to be by but this Garden Centre does a good deal from 9?

Well it looks like JapFest has moved to Silverstone and is now 24th April.
At least it's a touch less on the mileage (38 miles different, round trip for me).

Although I was hoping to tie it in with a trip over the boarder to Wales this year.....oh well !!!!

It is a non SES listed event as I guess a lot of us have interest in other marques rally heritage.

Auto Italia is a good event, have been many times as have had close ties with Lancia Integrales in the past.

To enter a car in the event it has to be Italian, but the event itself is open to all visitors.

I was thinking of arranging something for JapFest, but then I read the bit about having to complete the Club Stand H&S Form and the need for Public Liability Insurance.

I wonder how many club stands there will be, as tickets are not issued unless an insurance cover certificate is provided !!!!!

Public car park for SES then......at least you can leave when you want....so a win/win.

Isn't it only exhibitors that require insurance?

Club stands don't?

Club stands must have a minimum of five cars. Club bookings are subject to space availability and we reserve the right to close entry before the closing date. DO NOT purchase public tickets for a club stand, as these will not be valid.
If you intend to bring a gazebo or other branding please complete the Club Health and Safety form.

I think flag's will end up also considered as a 'risk'.
I have emailed then to clarify and also to get our name down on their booking system, should we wish to attend.

If I'm at work tomorrow I will find out how much Pl cover is for Ses at max capacity incl gazebo and flags. Just out of curiosity rather.

Thanks Wanda that would be really useful.
The last time I looked at it they wanted to know event footfall etc...which was impossible to predict.

After letting Japfest know we would likely not attend due to PLI requirements they came straight back and said we didn't have to have it.
Sounds like they prefer it but it's not a requirement. So I take from that, clubs can go at risk of being sued should anything fall on anyone.

At least it's a touch less on the mileage (38 miles different, round trip for me).

Although I was hoping to tie it in with a trip over the boarder to Wales this year.....oh well !!!!
hopefully being at silverstone will mean the queues are better managed (or am i just being overly hopeful)
