Default Hunting

Right had this problem for a while when sitting revs go up then drop it does it a few times then stops then starts again any idea .

Not sure as unplug boost pipe from inlet manifold fine plug it in started again .

Either ive got a air leak but seems ro be pointing to MAF , ICV and Lambada sensor .

Right just done another check when it settles and when you tap the throttle peddle it does it again im doing this when the car is parked does it mean the ICV is past it sell by date

Was it doing it before you put the front mount and cone filter on?

Should be able to clean the ICV up with a bit of carb cleaner and a toothbrush.

Well decided to do it the easy way and connect the black plugs together 3 fault codes 12,23 and 24 time to do some shopping fecking great .

Going to buy some carb cleaner try that as first protocall and go from there dont if it worth buying used maf or new or just go mafless on mapping day .

hhuumm 23,24 knock and maf.. haunts me this its the same problem iv got ,a new maf fitted and went away for a few months but its back again. haha, mafless seems to be the only option, and for future plans...so new ecu for me..

23 is icv 24 is maf but get this my boost gauge was going up and down so i think ive got a air leak problem or maf is fecked so took boost gauge pipe off inlet problem gone interesting so stripping maf and spraying carb cleaner and leave it over night to see if that works .

my bad...22,23 had a quick check again... still bloody haunting me either way.... i didnt have boost gauge issues thats for sure... any luck with the carb cleaner.....

Well that didnt work now what pipes do i need to check just took pipe from inlet to oem recirc valve hunting stopped put it back on started again so it must be a vac pipe some where but still going to do maf as unplugged that car still ran like a bag of nails lol .

When I had the maf issues on the wagon recently, the running improved when the maf was unplugged suggesting it was the maf according to Glenn at Carnetix,after changing the maf it then ran as it should.
