Some are too recent for my childhood, but I used to watch Magpie, and enjoyed Old Jamaica

I did buy two Betamax VCRs (does that make me a geek?)

Space dust will always be that to us mate. Texan bars were my fave too, I used to love the way you could bite them and get that long stringy toffee type stuff to go about 8 inches away from the bar.

Old Jamaica was great. Mmmmmmmmm

We had a betamax video when I was a kid. They were a much better quality. If it wasn't for the porn industry, betamax would have been the one to make it, they realised it was cheaper to mass produce VHS than Betamax, hence the death of it.

Once you start digging about, it's amazing the stuff that sparks your memory.

They were one of the "Must have" toys of the 70's without doubt

What an era that must have been to have lived in.

I have often thought that to have been born when my grandparents were, would have been good when you consider the changes that they have lived through and seen.
From the earliest electrical inventions, radio, telephone, television and computers,to cars, planes and rockets that put man on the moon.

Some of my childhood TV programmes:

Watch with mother,
Bill & Ben
Andy Pandy
Torchy the Battery Boy
Tin Tin
Twizzle
Muffin The Mule (all in Black & White)

and Dads 1st wheels were a 650 BSA and side car followed by a Ford Popular, Vauxhall Wivern, Vauxhall Victor Estate, i can still remember its reg no. ADY 60B

The 1st LP I brought was a Top of The Pops compilation followed by,
The Sweet,
Shawaddywaddy
Garry Glitter
Slade
& Bowie.

OK then, here's the 1970s

and I'm there!

A favourite programme from my childhood was Four Feather Falls, plus a few of the Jerry Anderson programmes like Thuderbirds.

Oh, and I watched the 1966 World Cup Final live

Ian, whats scary is, I remember a rather large amount from your list.

As below in red

Watch with mother,
Bill & Ben
Andy Pandy

Torchy the Battery Boy
Tin Tin
Twizzle
Muffin The Mule (all in Black & White)

Top of The Pops compilation
The Sweet,
Showaddywaddy
Garry Glitter
Slade
& Bowie.

The very first song I remember distinctly was "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" I must have been 3 or 4?

And as for the 66 Cup Final......... I was born that day! 30th July 1966

Here Wes, this is my Burner, I bought it about 2 years ago from Ebay, it was in a right state, I restored it and rode it a few times then sold it a few months ago for £250, still got lots of spares to build another when I have got time.

I will have a mini Burner for sale soon:-

You're showing your youth!

Slade were still skinheads when this photo was taken, and Dave Hill probably modelled himself on that chap.

Mick Hill used to drive some lairy supersaloons back in the 1970s

Also, two guys second row, 3rd from left and 2nd from right. Can't remember any names.
