Default Update on my P1

I haven't had much done to my car since last seeing you all.

I recently had a remap and the car is now running at 541 Bhp (499.8) lb/ft, 455 Bhp per ton.

Changed the Hankook Evo V12's for the brand new Toyo tyre the R1 Sport.

I haven't scrubbed them in yet as they are still new but the Hankook Evo V112's will take some beating. Awesome tyres in the wet & dry and I had 25K miles out of my last set which included 6 track days, a sprint & many days up The Pod.

I will be using these at The Ring so I will know then if they match the V12's.

Air Con removed as I never used it once in 5 years.
I recently had a new ceramic coated headers & up pipe fitted as the last service at RCM in April revealed there were 3 minor cracks with the launch control & anti lag being responsible .

Seriously thought about increasing injectors to 1100's and having the GT 35 Billet Wheel Turbo fitted as I have been assured of 650 Bhp if I do, but after a long think I decided not too. I'll have more than that in P2 when it's finished (will be putting P2 update up soon), and the P1 is fast enough for the streets as it is. Knowing what the P1 is like at it's current power suggests that 650 for a day to day car will be a waste of time.

I haven't taken many pics this year, well I have, but not of the P1, but here are a few recent ones.

I attended The Run for the Sun last weekend at Lincoln Showground.
They had an arena and was calling in different cars throughout the day for a Show & Shine type contest. When they called for Subaru's my mates were saying " put yours in" and I wasn't going to bother but got roped into it and at the awards later in the day they picked my car as runner up, which was jolly nice of them
An RB320 won which he deserved. It was a cracker.

We have bought our ever first dog Max. 8 months old & had him 5 months.

On our way to a show and this is the first time in his life he experienced boost in the P1

At the show 4 hours later I was thinking it wasn't a good idea !..... bless him

Cracking write up mate

Like you say, 541/500 is pretty bloody awesome in a daily driver road car, when P2 is finally launched upon the world, it will be a beast.

The Scoob is looking absolutely stunning mate and well worthy of a prize in show and shine.

The pooch looks a proper character mate.

Car looks absolutely stunning.

Probably be a good idea to test your Anti-Lag to make sure its still sounds as good after changing your headers and up-pipe. I reckon Japfest would be a good place to do it...

Thank you chaps.

Crisp:
No problem running the 225 35 18's mate even when suspension is set at 10F / 12R. Never rubs.

Glad to hear it. I had tinnitus for a couple of days after your little demo at the P1 Gathering!

Looking very nice mate.

What made you decide to go for the Toyo R1 sports?

I've found a good balance with the car now Big E and what set ups for what conditions regarding the adjustable coil overs so it's now down to find the right rubber.
I've tried PZero's / Mich' Pro Sport / Hankook Evo V12's so this time wanted to try Toyo.
Was going for 888's but heard that the Toyo R1's were being replaced by Toyo R1 Sport's, so I waited until they were available.

I had done about 500 miles on the R1's and thought I would test them out.
Jeez. I nearly killed myself going flat in 4th into a long curve that I knew well and entered the same as what I had done on the V12's.
No a good idea. I turned in & the car kept going straight. That woke me up

I don't think they will be a patch on the V12's. Time will tell.

Really like the 1st picture. Shot of Max in the last photo, was it windy or was he suffering the after-effects of boost?

sorry mate I never saw your post.

Fuel rails are standard at moment & running 850 injectors.

S/Pump had just been moved and braided hosing made to suit.

Sorry to cover old ground as I'm sure you mentioned it in older posts (though I can't find it!), but what transmission are you using Skullfudge?

No worries matey.

6 Speed UK box - OSG hydraulic triple plate clutch - standard d/shafts & diffs.

A sequential box would complete the car but the constant noise would ruin it as a road car.

The transmission is standard then? Is that a newage 6 speed transmission?

I thought you would have uprated driveshafts with the power you are running!

Yes mate standard 6 speed UK box.

I dont do hardly any drag racing so d/shafts are okay. In saying that if I was to launch hard the d/shafts are the weakest link.
