Default red classic track toy

hi all this is my 7th impreza picked it up last night for a bargin price , as normal with me i had a close call , i went with a mate down to worthing to view/buy after winning it on ebay found a few little bits and managed to knock a little off a cheap price i got my friend to drive it back to my workshop as he has traders the 15 mile drive home went fine got back and parked her up and went to take care of a few bits ,
later i returned to the workshop started the car to take her for my first drive i made it 200 meters before a massive stench of fuel so turned the car strait off jumped out and on looking under the bonnet the fuel pipe had split where its connected to the nitros right above the turbo ! i was so lucky it did it at this time as the turbo was only warm if it was 1 hour before it would have gone up in flames for shore !

any way here she is as she stands

sorry about the poor photos there from the ebay add will get some proper ones uploaded soon

so far i need to :
fit a new header tank due to a hole the old owner had masticked up
buy a new actuator as it pulls to 1 bar then drops and holds at 5 psi
fit my decat pipe
run new fuel lines and move them so there not 5 inches from the turbo !
and also give it a full service as has a small missfire from cold but clears when warm im thinking plugs as they havnt been changed since at least 2004 !
and a new bonnet as the bloke forgot to put the pins in and it came up a while back the windscreen has been done but the bonnets fubbered

Scary story about the split hose. Its madness that even the standard setup runs a 3" length of fuel hose under the turbo inlet.

The last scoob i was in where a fuel hose split was burnt to the ground. Once it goes there isn't alot you can do as the fuel pressure keeps feeding the fire
