Printer choice?
Advice needed please on what printer to buy.
My daughter needs to change her current printer and any advice on the good ones on the market would be appreciated as scanning the reviews seems to be mixed as usual pending on expectations. She is at Uni and requires endless printing etc. Her needs are, must print/scan/copy, with good colours when printing. Cost of ink a consideration but as we usually pay for this () not the deciding factor. Can be plug in or wireless. This her 2nd year into a 5 year course, although I'm no techno guru knowing how technology advances ,happy to pay more if it's worth it and lasts the course. Thanks in advance, Steve |

Go with an HP inkjet one around 70 odd quid and subscribe to their ink cartridge service, (they post them out to you automatically before you run out!) cost is relative to number of pages printed., its cheaper than buying cartridges.
The print quality can be photo level quality, if you desire at this level. no need to spend more really, and the subscribed cartridge services are a lot cheaper than buying new cartridges when they run out and takes all the hassle out of it.

another recommendation for HP, I have inkjet and colour laser. if not required for photos but just colour prints then maybe a hp colour laserjet like my hp m175nw might be cheaper long run, would have to do cost analysis. I got it as I rarely print colour and the inkjet cartridges dry up.
