Exhaust Manifold question
Guys i have a set of unequal headers i took off my car as they were blowing, but at the time they were heat wrapped, didnt notice that they just had the springs missing on them until after i took them off.
Is it worth just buying some springs for them or getting my mate to weld them up for me?? Dont really understand why they were just not welded up in the first place.

The springs on the slip joints i belief is to allow for expansion and any movement.
Im no expert, but think you may end up with splits or cracks if you weld them up. |

So may be a better idea if i get some springs then... Just worried about them pulling apart under load.

as above, they will crack if you weld em up so springs would be best. if they were able to pull apart under load, I doubt the springs you get on them would be able to prevent it anyway so I doubt it's a problem

Have you a pic of where these "springs " go ?

I'm guessing it's in the centre of the two pipes, some have springs, some have ajustable plates .
