It might make more with the standard Air box on rather than an induction kit,

Still nice result though the 43 is quite nice and linear as well

It is getting somewhere near a safe accepted limit for a WRX engine.

Very smart car, Hawkeyes are really growing on me and great results from a WRX. What plans have you got for it next?

Best thing of all, it was registered on 1st March so it's in the old tax band as well!

Nothing else performance wise. Thinking of putting a rear diffuser on and getting a c west style bonnet at some point in the future. Just about to upgrade the rear tyres as the ones on there at the moment are awful in the wet.

Upgrade to a better caliper/braking system to keep up with the power?

Agree with that, the WRX 4 pot calipers really aren't up to the job of stopping a 300+bhp newage very well. Don't throw money at better discs/pads hoping it'll help because its not worth it, change the calipers for something better.

STI Brembo's? Or speak with Alyn @ AS Performance about some AP's or K-Sport?

It depends on your budget and whether you want the car to stop you well on track (for more than a couple of laps )

Cheapest option will be a set of front brembos with standard-ish discs and better pads (plenty of options here). Your WRX discs are 297mm, whilst brembo discs will be 326mm. Would be fine for road use like this

If you want to get into trackdays then I'd look at PFC discs and pads for the brembo calipers. Problem is cost - not cheap. I looked at this as as option but found that at about £500 for the discs/pads and £400 for the calipers, I was better off going the K-Sport route for about the same money. The 8 pot 356mm kit is normally about a grand these days (new).

I've had mine a few years and beaten the crap out of them but they don't fade on track, and that's only with EBC Blue-NDX pads. When it comes to track work, nothing really compensates for the disc/pad size imo...

Just to add something extra... i learnt the hard way back in 2011 as I threw money at discs/pads for the standard 4 pot caliper hoping it was up to the job. It wasn't.

These pads did less than 300 road miles and 4 x 15 minute sessions at Brands Hatch (from new). http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/v...p/Img_6061.jpg

The 4 pot caliper is too small to dissipate sustained heat on track and it just melts. There was a thread on Scoobynet discussing this back in the day and EBC stated the pads in the pic above had been over 1100c (yes, eleven-hundred) as this is the temp the copper compound in them melts and causes the pads to smear. Toasty, and that was only a 250bhp wrx This was using EBC pads sold for track/race use only!

Replace the tyres all 4 at once, or you wind the diffs up,

tread should be even amount front to rear.

Got 4 new tyres on order with TFS Racing. They're being fitted next week.

I'll update with the brakes soon...
