Engine nearly back to normal now
Yeah, yeah ....... I know you guys say "but it always looks clean", well that's not true.
It sat for many months at RCM and became stale. Eight cleans later and a fierce one last night it's nearly back to what it was.................... thank gawd. Easier to keep clean when it's like this. |

Now that's clean!
Out of interest, how do you clean the alternator? I clean mine and a couple of months later its just as oxidised and looks exactly the same as before I started |

I was there when after you had caught the ID plate with the cloth,
you bent it then pushed it back and it snaped off. It was on the same day as the WR1 and other limited editions meet .

i was thinking to wire wool my alternator, and then lacquer it to stop it oxygdising, would that work? Would it risk catching fire (high temp)?? Was going to give the timing belt shield the same treatment
