Yep, they sure can. No turbo lagging them for a start!

Guess that was highlights of the Pirelli? Tom Cave failed to finish again for JRM, suspension damage this time apparently

He is a quick driver... when he is actually running!

The little fwd cars are certainly revvy, but I can't see them ever being as spectacular to watch as either the more powerful 4wd cars or anything rwd.

Agreed, my love for rallying is based on drivers holding big fat slides round corners - its all about the sideways action.

The fwd cars just don't move around so much in the bends.....

The competition is closer.... but they just don't look so good to watch imo.

I definately prefer the BTRDA events this year, more variety in the cars, some WRC entries, plus Andy Burton.

I'm in full agreement.

Obviously I can't speak for the drivers, as it sounds like you prefer the fwd cars, and I know that the fwd option is cheaper for teams and more likely to bring more manufacturers in. But, as a spectator, if my choices are to watch five or six different types of fwd cars, or just two types of 4wd Group N car, I'd opt for the 4wd Group N stuff every time.

Having watched both the "new" fwd cars in action at this years Sunseeker - and despite the quality of drivers in the fwd cars - I didn't think they were anywhere near as entertaning (nor spectacular) as the Group N and S2000 cars that followed.

Like Steve says I've found the BTRDA events the most entertaining of the UK rallies, as you get such a good mix of cars out on stage.

For me personally though, the Irish rally tarmac events have been my rallies of choice for the last couple of years. I need to get over there and check one out live though!
