Default The RS is finally here!

I'll get some pictures up at some point soon but I'm sure you all know what they look like.

Picked it up last Friday and haven't stopped smiling since. The plan is to go easy on it for the 1st 1000 miles but even doing that it still feels awesome, and the pops and bangs are a giggle too. I'll get to some meets at some point to. I have a few plans for it so will start a thread lol!

Glad it turned up Steve and the wait was worth it.
I test drove a used black one Sunday and a new Blue one turned up Monday which could of been mine.....so a massive 24 hour waiting list !!!
But I could hear Scooby crying in the garage when i got home so have postponed until she's ready for a new partner rather than a divorce.

Sorry chaps, I've been to LeMans in it this weekend. I'll give her a bath and get some pictures up. 600 miles down, 400 to go but to be fair it didn't hamper my enjoyment, plenty of popping and banging even under 4000rpm.

Wise choice. I think you'd regret getting shot of the scoob, its part of your family. I don't think you would regret the RS though. Its so well sorted.

Nope! Tried them but didn't like the fact that they weren't height adjustable plus in the winter I like heated seats!! The shells do look the part though.

Hi terry,

My order from polished bliss turned up a few weeks ago. Had to refresh everything as all the old stuff was, well, old!

That wasn't cheap but all set now to stay on top of it. I need a day on it to clay it etc though to be fair they did a pretty good job cleaning it when I picked it up. I am thinking about going the ceramic coating route too.

You could always sit on a cushion....shorty
The standard seats are actually a tighter/snugger fit on the bolsters than the shell. Which surprised me.

LOL. I am short and like sitting high up.

I know, I was quite surprised just how tight the standard seats are and for someone my size (short and thin!) they are perfect.

I hadn't heard of it before Terry, but a lot of guys on the MK3FRS forum have had it done. Its supposed to be very good and offers excellent paint protection but can still be polished to get a nice deep shine. Seems to be about £350-£400 done.

Chuffed with it Craig. Its the closest thing to the scoob to drive that I have driven. Stick it in sport and with a bit of throttle stabbing the pops and bangs are great fun. Its pretty much glued to the road and very composed.
