Clio 172 cup
Picked this up to start doing track days in. I was very surprised when I had a go of a mates clio on track and how much fun it was for not a lot of money. It’s got a few bits like coilovers and all bushes done brakes are unknown make but are good. I have ordered a sparco bucket seat and service kit and then will take it on track and see how it performs.

Nice! I was thinking of persuading my other half to get one for her daily so she could also play on track.
Let us know how the track visit goes 😁 Sent from my G8441 using Tapatalk |

I have an almost track prep’d 182. Fully stripped, awaiting cage. Running avo track coilovers. Itb’s, cat cams etc etc. Once you lose the weight out of them they go, handle and stop very well.

I really miss mine, sold it almost a decade ago. Spent far too much money on it. They scream on Jenveys. So much fun.

Who you got doing the cage? Wanted a Safety Devices but price was silly as had to get it through Mark Fish.
Looking at Fulcrum Motorsport now.

I honestly have so much fun in my Clio, more so than in the Impreza or Evo.
Simon - I’ve been looking at a Fulcrum cage, but I think the prices are circa £1100 |

Yeah £1100 for Fulcrum cage, powdercoated to my colour choice, fitted in a day is spot on in my book. Mark Fish quoted nearly £2k for a Safety devices cage.

Blimey, I didn’t know the Mark Fish one was so much.
I’m happy with my rear cage, but now I’ve started pushing harder on track I think a full one makes sense (especially after almost getting wiped out by a Ginetta last week) |

Oh really Mark Fish done mine 6 point bolt in safety device cage with legs boxed painted top and under car for £1500 fitted. Mind you it was one he had in stock so had no choice on colour. He done a cracking job. I wanted it done properly so paid the extra.
