Default One week in and I need more bhp!!

Hi guys,

I've owned my 01 bug for a week and so far I have spent 5 days looking st how to increase the bhp lol.
It's got a turbo back tornado exhaust system and k&n induction with a flash map at 270-280 bhp. Looking at a vf35 turbo and pink injectors. Seen some new pinks for £160 online and turbos around the £380 mark, does this look about right?? I am going to see if it's got the std up pipe in, I think it has.
Are there any other bits that need to be fitted to get these parts on, apart from a remap to tie them in properly.

You certainly need to replace the up-pipe. With a VF35 (or similar) you will be trying to eject alot more hot gasses than can penetrat the up-pipe cat, hence you have to reign the boost back.

£160 is a little rich for Pinks, should be around the 120 mark, and 350 for VF35 is more than enough, I would make sure it has no cracks on the exhaust housing around the waste-gate penny

Agreed on Alyn's post regarding his up pipes. One of my fav mods on my car.

VF35 can be had for less than 350 just as Ginola says, watch out !

Have seen pinks as low as 90 depending.
