Great footage Dave I quite like the POV and although it 'moves' I find it very realistic. Audio OK too....

Very cool - I may have to try that on my next trip to Tescos.

Watched this vid this morning, the shaking seems more noticable at steady speeds in a straight line, not so bad round the bends as you are probably holding your head steady without thinking about it.
The POV is awesome, gives a good impression of everything that is going on around you and what you are doing too! |

very cool indeed - just ordered myself the Go Pro hero 4 Silver (couldn't stretch to the black). Plan to use it for the Wales Road Trip
Like the POV as everyone else does and the shaking isn't too bad

Nice one Mate, I have a hero 3+ black edition, I have setup in mine. Love them, I have not long brought the suction cup for external mounting. Bit scary mounting outside the car but they work well. Noticed the phone in the corner, have you downloaded the gopro app to view and control the camera?

I'm not sure about sticking a £400 camera to the outside of the car (I have the suction mount, but have been playing with it stuck to rear windows etc)

I will have to dig out what mount i had, i have a 3 suction cup one and had it on the back of my Gixer 1000. Stayed on at 120mph, then i changed to 3rd gear and had to slow down lol.
The drama i found was finding something that looks good while going through trees and shadows and a mount that didnt shake like mad! |

I think I have found a good solution going forward with a go pro gooseneck bolted to the inside of the interior light fitment (but it can wait a while before I do it) there at some more helmet cam vids in the ring zone video section
Bikes are a pain I would think to find anywhere to get a good perspective from other than the front of the helmet itself I would guess

wide angle lens on the furthest point on the fairing looking forward was good. Used to run a few cams. One there one on lid and one on the swingarm looking back.
Not really looked at mounting a cam on the impreza yet. Need to have a play around with it. |

I worry when I see helmet cams as Micheal Schumacher's injuries may not have been so severe if he had not been wearing one?

Yeah but it was a full on TV camera!

Pretty good for the money, but how do I stop the reflection from the windscreen showing on video clips.(camera is mounted at the top of screen behind the rear view mirror) Also I need to clean the screen inside and out, as it shows up on the videos as well.

you can cure reflections with a CPL filter but perhaps this is the perfect excuse to flock the dash

Thanks for the reply, will try different mounting locations and look into CPL filter..
