Copied this from Type RA club

Who would believe the mighty P1 is 10 years old this year.

To celebrate this we at the P1 WOC have decided to acknowledge the challenges that Prodrive undertook and achieved in creating the Impreza into a Supercar.

We are currently trying to get as many P1's gathered together in one place ALL at the same time ever. Yes at PRODRIVE

Prodrive are just off Jnc 11 off the M40 in Banbury
Website and address details are here
http://www.prodrive.com/c_details.html?group=UNITED%20KINGDOM

So we get an idea of how many P1's are going can you put your car next to your name please.

Even if you don't own a P1 but do have a Subaru you are all more than welcome to come along and join in the day.

There will be marshalls on the day to point you in the right direction to park your cars (P1's Only at the front of Prodrive)

Prodrive will be opening the Heritage Centre so people will be able to see all the cars in there, plus the Prodrive shop will be open.

All donations on the day will go to the Horton Hospital Charity, with an invite to the Richard Burns Foundation.

Start time 10.00am
Finish time 15.00hrs

ALL P1's to be parked up and in place by 9.30am please
Site plan will be provided if needed

Itinerary for the day
Invitations to ALL Subaru clubs (Where possible)
Prodrive Merchandise and Parts for sale on the day (To be paid for on the day)
Local News coverage and TV hopefully
P1 WOC merchandise for sale on the day
Commemorative plaque produced for all P1 Owners (At cost)
Commemorative Sticker on the day for all who attend

All the following mags will be asked to attend
Total Impreza Mag TBC
Japanese Performance Mag TBC
Banzai mag TBC
Autocar TBC
EVO Mag TBC

For ALL P1 and Subaru Owners that want to be apart of this then please visit www.p1woc.co.uk and put your name on the list now started on there, it's free to register if your not already.

Anyone want to join us for a trip up there the day after me and Shaz get married

Myself and at least one other from Surrey Scoobies will be staying at the Banbury Premier Inn on the Saturday night!

(It looked a much better drive to Prodrive from there! )

Sounds like a plan. We won't be going until a little later in the day though, as the girlfriend is working until around 3, so I guess we won't be on the road until about half 5/6 - don't know if thats convinent for you or not?

I see you're in Kent; I'll be driving from Bromley and the other definate from Surrey (which is a Forester - sorry, we'll put him at the back on the convoy ) is from nearby, so perhaps meet you at Clacketts on the M25?

1. 666Subaru (just married the day before)
2. Scrappydoo
3. Frenchie? not sure yet
4.

Change of plan due to more people staying at the hotel for our wedding and we dont want to rush off without speaking to them in the morning, we will meet at Pease Pottage at 9 am and leave at 9.15, we should be at prodrive around 11am depending on traffic. Any more want to come up for this, this Sunday?

Going to be a good event this guys & gals!!

108 P1.s have confirmed including one driving from Germany and there will be a rake of various models of Scoobs from a heap of clubs nationwide.

Prodrive opening doors to factory - race car show rooms - 108 P1's sounding off at 12.00 - Local TV company filming event - Photographers from 5 Magazines and heaps more going on.

This is looking like a good one guys and it's a one off show.

Not far either !

Can't wait for this weekend - thank goodness its just a short week at work!

I'll happily stand corrected, but I think Prodrive are just opening up the Heritage Centre rather than the factory? (I hope they are opening the factory as I would love to see where they put the rally cars together!)

If there is a fee Steve tell your lovely lady to keep the dress on and they will let you both in free

This is what I'm afraid of - I hope they haven't got any Blob-eye WRC cars parked up or I'm bound to start looking at wide-arch kits again!

COME ON FELLAS thought more would come up to this one.

This is growing by the day this event!. The Police don't turn out in force for directing of traffic unless they assume a large turn out !

Ignore the above list of guys attending, that is an old post. The P1's alone have doubled from the above list.

Each Scooby Club is being appointed it's own patch so club members stay together, including:

West Midlands Scoobies
NorthWest Scoobies
North Downs Scoobies
Many guys from Essex Scoobies
Some from Surrey Scoobs
Legacy Club
Type RA Club
BAB
WR1 Owners Club
Lincolnshire Japanese Performance
Mcrae Gathering Team
Mid Wales Scoobies

plus numerous convoys of non club members from all regions.

Weather forecast has gone from 40% to 20% & now 5% chance of a drizzle mid day apart from that an ok day.

Nearly every hotel & b&b are now fully booked around Banbury area so if you decide like many others to make a weekend of it you may need to search 10 - 15 miles out from Banbury for hotel.

Guys coming from as far as France & Germany.

Most of the worlds fastest P1's in attendance too.

Come on chaps, this wont happen again !

Good time had by one and all.
Will post some pics later.
Skullfuge's car sounded awesome and apparently broke a couple of microphones when people went to video a demo of launch control and antilag
got here by 9.45 and we left around 12 to go back to theSurrey meet.

Went really well. One of the best I have been to but I would say as I own a P1.

123 P1s listed & 117 turned up along with other clubs including Type R, WR1 Club RB320's and many more.

I was lucky as the main organizer (Dave) had a dedicated spot for my car which was a real honor as there were so many nice examples in attendance. That made me realize a lot.

It was extra cool for me as I have more mates online in the P1 club than anywhere (30ish) and only met 2 of them. Despite the P1 getting mad attention it was meeting the guys that was the cool bit.

At 12.00 it was arranged for a "sound off". Ten minutes to warm up then give it some for 30 seconds as a tribute to Prodrive & Staff attending.

Many guys in the P1 club knew I was going to give it some serious anti and before I knew it tripods & a wall of humans with camcorders etc.
Video was 1st of 5 blasts with 30 seconds in between Problem: everyone in the place heard the first one and the next thing I see from every angle resembles a football stadium emptying... omg it was a bit mad really.
I had promised another P1 driver I would give him a blast in the thing, so it was arranged for him to jump in, belt up and then creeping the car through the people (50Mts) then give them a "setting 6" launch along the Prodrive straight.
It was mad, in all mirrors were people running with tripods & camcorders. At this point I am beginning to feel like Lewis fookin Hamilton" lol.
Anyway, I gave them a flat out jobbie the length of the straight, then on to seeing how big the passengers balls were

I have since read that 2 camcorders and 6 mobile phones had there microphones blown when filming, and all rendered useless. Destroyed something?

Had a great time.

(there is a load of pics & footage somewhere. I will find some & dump in here)

what a car clive, honestly the quality is second to none and as i said on p1woc, i must remember not to turn around to go to another car when your ready to hit the anti lag. i did check when i got home and there was no brown stains but it was bloody close.

i drove with my wrc gloves on yesterday, people looked at me like i was a fool but i didn't care, it made me feel like a rally driver.

Thanks for the comments
