Knocking noise at low speed driving me mad
I've got a 2005 wrx. PPP and its developed a knocking noise from the drivers side front that is driving me mad it only does it low speed 15mph or less and it doesnt matter if your on a smooth or bumpy bit of road it still does it its at its worse when I'm reversing down my drive which is very steep with the breaks on i can really feel it through my feet I'm thinking the CV joint on the driveshaft may be the cause but was just wondering if anyone had had this problem before ?

In a straight line at that speed or only when steering? Recently had a front CV joint fail but it only made knocking noises when steering lock applied.

Check your ARB links and bushes as the first point of call.
