Default Just brought an 2001 STI import

Hey all,

Just brought my first Subaru from Hurst cars, roll on next week when I pick it up!

It's a 2001 WRX STI Import and is entirely standard other than a Defi gauge trio.

I was toying between a Z4 3.0 or a Subaru, went and drove the Z4 first being the more sensible option and all that jazz but found it bland and boring, no smiles when flat out at all. A couple of days later I went a saw the scooby and couldn't contain the grin on my face from the moment I saw it.

I am a little worried about maintenance because my last Turbo'd car was a Glanza which was troublesome, but I hope this will be much more reliable if cared for properly, also looks like this model has the forged pistons and rods, can anyone confirm?

Are you the guys that meet at the top on Detling hill? I often see a car park full of scoobies there!

Looks nice, don't see many black bugs. Will be a bit quiet on here for the next few days, lots of people are in Germany.

Cheers chaps, it's pretty clean. Just a shame about all the scratches and stone chips that show up due to it being black.

Looking good - and good choice on a reliable car from an owner on his 3rd engine!

Well I'm hoping I have better luck with the Impreza, I went through 3 engines in my mx5s and 2 in my VW camper And believe it or not I serviced all of them religiously.
