Default New exhaust

I was thinking about changing the exhaust system for quite a while. Original exhaust set up of the 2.0L Forester XT SG5 is very quiet and I see it as a robbery to deprive driver from the potential great sound boxer engine is capable of.
Spending hours on youtube, talking to other people I was looking for perfect set up when exhaust sound is pronounced enough and not too loud to wake up neighbours in the middle of the night.

In the end I decided to go with Hayward & Scott
Centre pipe

Overall, I'm very happy with the look and sound. Next step is a remap.

Looks good

Forgotten to mention, additionally I fitted K&N Air filter. Car definitely feels a bit more lively and responsive I think most likely due to the removed silencer and small cat.
Looking forward to remap now.
I recorded video of old exhaust sound and when I have time will compare with the new setup and publish it later.
So there will be one more youtube video to watch for those who are interested.

That's basically the same as the one we had on Turbo S we used to have - an excellent piece of kit!

Great exhausts, love mine.
You can keep it quiet at low revs when required, then it sounds spot on when you hit the loud pedal.

Best things come from Essex ;0)

Hayward and Scott is a great choice. They always sound just right.

I have Hayward and Scott rear pipe and 2 x twin back boxes on the new Scoob. Sound is great, but Brent (SMD) who fitted them wasn't too impressed with the build quality.
