Default check engine light...

please can someone shed some light on problem i have with my scooby,

she is a 98 2000turbo, uk model, and over the last week or so my 'check engine' light keeps turning on now and then, its doesnt really stay light up for long, maybe 30 secs to 2 mins then goes off again and will then come back on a while after or maybe a day so later.

not sure why, except being scared obviously, check all my fluids and they all seem ok but can someone explain more if possible....

Have you done a diagnostic check? If the CEL light is coming on then the ECU should capture the problem and log whatever it is.
