Default New to the area...

Hi All,

I found your forum via Facebook and of course had to register.

So a little about me...I have recently (a week or so ago) moved from Bedford to Folkestone and of course the first thing I looked for was a local scoobie club! I'm 28 and a proud owner of a blue bugeye UK300 (number 80...if you're interested). I've had her for about 2 years, and as much as I'd love to list 40 grands worth of mods...unfortunately I simply haven't really touched her...mainly because of the model, thought it might devalue her in the future. I have however replaced the original PPP exhaust for a catback (minus any silencer) larger exhaust...unsure of the make as I bought it off a friend...sounds the business though. I've also added a Blitz blow of valve. Other than that...most of the thousands I've spent on her is basically repairs! (Including a gear box and clutch...guess who couldn't afford a 6 speed replacement at the time and has regretted getting a new 5 speed ever since?).

I am definitely no mechanic, never claimed to be, but I am very passionate about Subarus. I am a member of Subaru Owners Of Northamptonshire (SOON), MK Scoobies and Banbury Scoobies, however have only met with SOON on a regular basis.

I am always up for meets, and always up for meeting new people. My girlfriend is also keen..and my 7 month old son has no choice...he WILL like Subarus! Having said that he smiles when I start mine...that's my boy.

Feel free to see my IG @subarudaddy for more insight

Hope to meet you all soon

Mike

Lovely looking Bug you have there - welcome to SES

Can't wait to see it at some of the meets - have a look at our Nov meet in the Meets section - and see if you can attend the Xmas Meal in Dec (although names have to be in by tomorrow)

Welcome to SES

Nice UK300 As Ryan (above) says, have a look in our meets/events area as we normally hold a monthly meet somewhere in the region - although we don't get over anywhere as near as far as Folkstone as we try and keep it reasonably central. But if you like a drive, you're more than welcome to come along to any meets.
