You should be able to verify it with the dealer records.

That's what I did when buying Mrs Stig's wagon as the dealer didn't advertise it as a PPP, but it had the PPP kit on it, so I was pretty sure it was... didn't want to play my hand with the dealer.

Anyway, long story short, my mate who worked at a Subaru dealer confirmed it, but when we got the car, the certificate was there anyway... the selling dealer just didn't realise!

A check of your number plate shows it is registered as a Prodrive model. Not sure if a dealership can supply you with a new cert and Prodrive no longer have many dealings with Subaru like they once did, so they probably couldn't help either.

I suspect the best you can do is get confirmation in writing rather than a replacement.

As said above, it's been a while since the certificates have been PPP ones. Pro R took over with later model Impreza/WRX STis.

You never know your luck though, IM may be able to provide a replacement. You could always try Prodrive direct too.

It's a shame Prodrive and Subaru UK aren't bed fellows anymore. At least Subaru of America like them... http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/mo...wrx-sti-livery

Think you'll only see if its registered as the limited edition Prodrive styled bugeye STIs - rather than the PPP pack installed on the car (available for WRX or STI).

My bugeye PPP has the certificate, but no record of it related to the reg if checked, and no stickers actually on the car. I think the foil stickers on the B pillar mentioned by Scott started on the blobs?

My (blob wagon) PPP doesn't have any markings on the car, but did come with a certificate. Doesn't seem to appear on any searches based on the reg though.
