Fuel Cut?????
When i accelerate hard, at about 5.5k i hit a brick wall, i havent changed the boost controller and it hasnt done it before, not sure whats going on now!!
Would the fact that the lambda doesnt have a heater now cause issues? only ask because, a, everything wrong with my cars seems to be the sodding lambda, that and on my old mr2 i didnt plug the sensor in properly and it stuttered at about 5.5k. Any ideas please!?? |

Coil packs are known to go on the early scoobs. If you don't have a receipt or proof the coil packs have been changed my money would be on coil packs. About £200 for a set |

i was worried it might be the coil packs, not sure about over boosting though, i dont think i got high enough up the revs to hit full boost properly, which sadly, is about 5.5k.
I do think something is leaking though, deffo on the exhaust side, but also on the pressure side, i can hear it, and its louder than it was before. thats a fairly easy find though. Hopefully its not the packs, i cant afford to replace them at the moment. |

Cheers mate, thats great, i just did a run after sticking some tescos fuel in and its behaving a bit better, it actually hit full boost (1.1bar) just under 4k rpm.
I did a video, i will get it up to photobucket and see if it is actually visible!! not sure if maybe it had some crap fuel in it before, am only really getting the alst of what was in there when i picked it up, saying that, it had a tenners worth of tesco super in last night (after i was swearing at it for messing about, when actually, i had run out of fuel!!!) So will see how it behaves tomorrow. Cheers for the offer mate, i may take you up on it, am in broadwater, worthing. ta |

If it has the standard slanty top mount intercooler, the plastic connection pipes underneath can split along the seam. This would cause you to loose boost and be able to hear something.
I doubt very much it was down to fuel. You should have 1bar boost by about 3800-4000 rpm in 5th gear. If your not getting it until 5,500rpm in 5th then something is poorly or leaking. Low gears will boost later i.e 2nd may be about 5,000rpm to hit one bar. Best to try on a long straight road, plant you foot to the carpet at about 3,500 in 5th and read when it hits 1bar. |

ITs running a front mount mate, i did have the pipe from the cooler to the manifold off last week when i was buggering about with the wires and stuff, maybe a crap connection on one of those pipes. I will check. The alst run i did it hit 1.1 at about 4k in fifth, the rest in second etc was about 5k.

When I fitted FMIC with a chipped Z4 Ecu it was very very laggy compared to the top mount IC.
Hey I think I got the FMIC from you, did you have a White classic and break a green one? |

The White one was very nice, didn't it have HKS FMIC and coil overs.
