So it's nearly time for those New Year resulotions. What have you in mind? For me it's to travel more, of to South America for most of Feb , and finally get to the ring!!!

For me, its get back into shape. Before Ellie was born I used to mountain bike regularly, play footy etc and in the last 3 or 4 years life I've done nothing and feel unhealthy as a result. So... gym and new mountain bike and get back into things

I can relate to that. In the last five years I've had two kids and am about a stone lighter due to lost muscle.

Mrs Stig bought be a Fitbit device, which will motivate me to change the trend.

Astonishingly, having been monitored for a few days now it shows my cardio fitness is "good to very good" for my age. This makes me worry about people my age as I know I'm unfit!

I'm still time poor, thanks to work and kids, so it'll be home based HIIT, etc. for me, rather than the gym.

Hopefully I can see some results!

Good luck with it.

Because I spent most of my adult life long distance running I'am quite disiplined about fitness, running or cycling most days. Mind have certainly put a fee pounds on over the last few days.

That's the biggest challenge for me too. I'd never get a chance to use the gym in the evening after work, with getting home, getting Ellie to bed, dinner etc... but there's a gym 5 mins walk from my office so it'll be a case of using lunch breaks to get over there.

That's handy.

I'm considering a couple of extended lunch breaks a week to allow me to go for a swim... it'll be a tough habit to form!
