Default new bit for the scoob

recently got hold of a rare JDM HKS Type 1 SSQV.
had to go to the garage today so did a quick vid.

It's VTA and can't be set up recirculating. You can't fit inserts to it like you can with the current Type 2 SSQV's, but it still sounds nice.

i orginally had one of these on my classic sounded nice if had a flutter sound to it! (not turbo flutter) when i took the motor in for fitting front mount the cheeky bastards took it off and put a collins on and told me it wouldnt fit back on and when i asked for it back they said they hadent got it gutted!!! very poor tuning company!!!

had to do a run down to ashford and back today. I noticed the flutter on it at motorway speeds

noticed that !
It was the only one listed n ebay at the time, and my vid is the only hit on youtube for "HKS type 1 SSQV" that actualy comes up with the type1

HKS also replied to my email saying the Type1 is 20yrs old!

madness!! it might have been the one i was looking at a few months ago? defo better sound than the type you get nowerdays! debaiting wether to put standard one back on n sell the hks??

Well the type 2 isn't as loud when it's recirculating as the recirc adaptor replaces the coloured insert. The adaptor is about £18 and you would probably need another £10-£15 for a hose
