Default tires

Its that time again for tires ,

Please may i have opinons on what you guys are using? how you have found them to handle on road and track, and how is the cabin noise,

i was thinking of using a more track focused tyre but dont want to ruin the car with whirring sound of cut slicks going on,
I average only 5k max a year and dont do motorway miles so not looking for great lifespan or mpg return (not that the golf returns that any how lol)
i am tho planning on do 2/3 track days and booked for ring later on this year.

Theres a selection im looking at - 225/40/18 range

Goodyear F1
Michelin PS4
Conti sport 5

or wild card the ns2r

any input would be great cheers

I'm really happy with the Hankook Evo2s on mine same tyres as I had on the Impreza - a great all round tyre.

Cool , I have had the ns2r and did find them to be little noisy,
595rsr are a no go as the drone did my head in,
I'm thinking Michelin super sports . These are the more fast road foucused over the pilot sports,
Just been reading lots on piston heads .
Good year or Michelin I think is choice atm

For the price, I've found F1 A3's to be the best (granted that might be different in your tyre size). Hankooks are also great too.

Of course if you want to spend more money, go Michelin!

This was me in 225 45 17.
