Default Will Brembo's fit under my wheels?

Right, the plan is to upgrade the brake's on my Legacy and I've been informed by Stuart of the East Sussex Mobile variety that Brembo 4 pots will fit in/under/behind the wheels I have......."fine" I thought and have put the feelers out for a front set until......

.......members on a Legacy forum I frequent have told me different

I'm after 4 pots and the wheels I have are as below. Any input from you guys n' gals would be appreciated. The thing that confuses me more is that I happened across a new set for sale from an American company that stated a minimum wheel size of 17" x 7.5" of which mine are?

I don't think they will as the STi uses a larger wheel with a smaller offset.

For example the 18 inch P-WRC Wheel (P1 Style Alloy) for the WRX has an offset of 53, whereas the same wheel for the STi has an offset of 46 in order to clear the brembo's.

The P-WRC with offset of 53 does not clear the Brembo's as I tried on my classic, hence why I now run P-FF7's.

Not many, if any 17's go over the Brembo's (I don't recall seeing any TBH), and even some 18's don't fit over them.

Wee little update. Seem's I may have bagged myself a bargain, I reckon.....

.....set of gold STi7 wheels and front Brembo's in gold for £450

Downside is I gotta drive to Cardiff to get them.....well, that's a lot of driving so may not actually be a downside at all

The guy reckons the wheels only have the normal scuffs at the edge where tyre fitters don't take care and that the Brembo's will only need a very slight touch up of paint. Rotors and pads are included but too worn I think (judging by a couple of quick photo's)!

Can't wait to get my hands on 'em, clean 'em up and on they go

Aye, exactly. I did offer him £500 for the wheels and all for Brembo's but he said he'd had a bloke offer him £450 for the Brembo's alone........my luck, for a change, though that the other bloke didn't get back to him. He thought about letting me have the four and wheels for £500 but was happier with the £450 for the wheels and fronts as he could make a few pennies more from selling the rears on their own......seeing as I mentioned I wasn't really in need of the rears anyhow!

He's hoiping to get the calipers off tomorrow but is pretty sure that one of the bolts is gonna shear so he's gonna get himself a tapper to re-thread if need be and he's also got new bolts at the ready....spiffing chap really

He wouldn't accept £500 for the wheels and rears, wanted more! I could have paid more but I'd budgeted £500 and was determined to stick with it Furthermore, the fronts on the Legacy are known not to be up to the job but Subaru upgraded the rears, so I've been told, so they don't really need doing..........maybe something to do in the future just to match up though
