Default Ouch..... don't lift in the foxhole!

Another big shunt today at the Ring....bet it was closed for a while whilst they sorted the barriers out.

Thankfully it sounds like driver was ok - built just like a Golf, obviously

You should always, always be on the left at the bottom of the foxhole!

Thats going to cost alot of money.

That is scary!!!!!

I don't think I will ever take that flat! It's such a lot of compression through that corner.

Saw that on btg yesterday. I thought it looked like he took the kerb for some reason - but only saw it on the phone.
That will be very expensive!

Yep, the track closure and barrier repairs certainly won't be a small bill....

I think the scary part is how the barrier folds and just launches the car. I guess its absorbing some of the impact but i'm sure the accident wouldn't have been as bad if the barrier stayed vertical and the car stayed on the ground. Its lucky that it launched back onto the road and didn't end up going off into the trees.

That crash is 100% driver error.

To fast , way to far to the right is just asking for trouble.

The foxhole is well known for throwing cars out to the right.

Stu you will be fine if a 57 year old git in baby blue scoob, that has done it for the last five consecutive years with out any problems you will fine.

Agreed, too much speed being carried into the compression. If he was going a bit slower, he'd have had the chance to correct his line and get away with it, but not at that speed.

Thats a shame to hear Granby. Hope the trip is going well, saw on facebook Martyn had a small bump but thankfully looks not bad, just the splitter.

Its certainly a tricky place in the wet/damp, stay safe guys
