Can a uk turbo 2000 on a 98 plate ecu be mapped ecutek or something? Cheers

on a 98 plate it can be either the last of the v4 cars (ESL only) or the first of the v5 cars (ECUTEK)..........

coil pack in centre of manifold is v3-4 and coil pack offset to passenger side is v5-6

It's a v3-4 then, could I get a version 4 sti ecu 8s I think and then fit it, then have that mapped? Thanks

no esl or an aftermarket ecu is only option.

just to add if your getting an ECU "mapped" in whatever form it doesn't generally matter if you start with the "best or worst" spec ECU as the whole point is you are optimising the functions to your car........

For 97/98 cars you can't go too far wrong with a 2nd hand Apexi Power FC.,.

around the £400 mark for the ECU + Commander.,
