Default I should have known better

Never buy a Renault!

Got my Meganee CC out of garage and advertised for sale as weather good this weekend, get someone arrange to see it today.

Took it out last night and clutch slave cylinder or the hydraulic line looks like has failed, so had to drive home with no clutch.

There goes my extra Nurburgring spending money. Grrrrggh.

Is the slave cylinder external or in the bell housing, hopefully the former otherwise that's a pig of a job and possibly a contaminated clutch plate as well.
