Default Tempest Rally, Saturday 3rd November 2012

Know theres a several rally fans on here, so who's interested in an SES get-together for the Tempest this year?

The event is based around the Aldershot/Fleet area, and is the closest rallying event to our region (of any decent size, anyway ). The stage times and locations are yet to be confirmed but I expect we'll take in 3 groups of stages comprising Warren, Ash (by the jump) and Yateley in one way or another.

This is a great (and cheap) way to see a days rallying, but its not a big Subaru meet for those who haven't been. Some of the forest/gravel roads used for parking are pretty rough, so i'd recommend a bit of car sharing (i'll be going in the diesel!). Makes it cheaper too as entrance fees are per car i think

Who's interested?

I'm going! May have a couple of others from Surrey going, but not 100% on that yet.

Like you I'll be going in the diesel (or possibly a courtesy car if my diesel isn't back!).

Cool

Have you seen that Sunseeker has been moved from its Feb date in 2013 to October! Going to be a busy autumn with that, Tempest and RallyGB all fairly close together!

I may be up for this if I can clear it with my Wife to take Oliver, now that he is a bit older and quicker on his feet to jump out the way.

No, I hadn't seen that! Typical, wait ages for a rally at our end of the country and we're going to get two a month apart!

I actually found the entry at the 2011 Tempest more interesting than the 2012 Sunseeker, so I'm looking forward to seeing what shows up at the Tempest this year.

Entries look thin at the moment but this event normally only fills up in the last couple of week or so. Expect that lot to grow quickly, especially Tempest4.

Oh yeah. Good to see some decent machinery on the entry list this early though!

Looks like Andrew Barnes has been using John LLoyd's old S8 Impreza WRC this year, whilst John Lloyd has got a newer S11 Impreza WRC, so hopefully those are the cars they will be running at Tempest.

...I've never done Pavilion before so thats a must for me. Would like to do Ash again as well, but I don't want to be waiting there all days for the cars to show up!
