Drift the Ring
Not sure if anyone else has watched this, obviously filmed over several laps with different camera cars and some very skilful drone flying, not sure he'd have managed a full lap on one set of rears either. Chatted to him a couple of times at Goodwood, seems a really nice guy.

I'll get flack for this but I find competitive drifting really dull

All the drift guys are really friendly in my experience.
Like you Shane, I've spoken to quite a few at Goodwood and they're the most accessible and approachable group of people at the event I think. It strikes me that they're just a different breed to some is the "elite" motorsport drivers (read F1 etc.) and I put that down to them coming at it from a starting point of massive enthusiasm, which has then turned to it becoming their careers. Mad Mike Whiddett spent about fifteen minutes speaking to me and my son about his Mazdas. Thoroughly engaging and humoured the questions of a six year old! That video is brilliant, by the way! |
